PADI Scuba Diver

The PADI Scuba Diver course is strictly speaking a sub-program of the PADI Open Water Diver course. If you are short on time but would like to become a scuba diver, the PADI Scuba Diver certification is for you - especially if you want to dive primarily with a dive guide. This course is an intermediate step on the way to the PADI Open Water Diver certification, if that is your ultimate goal.

PADI Scuba Divers are qualified to do the following:

  • To dive under the direct supervision of a PADI dive professional to a maximum depth of 12 meters / 40 feet.
  • Obtain tank fills, rent or purchase dive equipment and participate in dive activities as long as appropriate "supervision" is provided.
  • To continue their diving education later, by completing the PADI Open Water Diver course as well as some specific specialty courses.
  •

Prior diving experience is not necessary, however, you can "get a taste" of diving in our Discover Scuba Diving program.

Prerequisite for Participation:

  • at least 10 years old, be fit for scuba diving (diving medical certificate recommended)
  • can swim
