PADI Assistant-Instructor (AI)

The PADI Assistant-Instructor (AI) is the first part of PADIs Instructor Development Programm (IDC).

PADI Assistant Instructors are dive educators who help train divers, organize and supervise the development of theoretical knowledge, as well as pool and open water activities. As a PADI Assistant Instructor, you will work with PADI Instructors to provide in-depth theoretical knowledge and dive skills to student divers in PADI programs. The teaching skills Assistant Instructors acquire during their training also allow them to independently conduct various PADI programs and, through appropriate continuing education, teach specialty courses and the Emergency First Response course.

The AI training consists of theory, pool and open water units. You will learn to apply the PADI system in training and practice teaching practical and theoretical learning.

To participate in the PADI Assistant Instructor course you need a PADI IDC Candidate Crewpack 2020, which you can of course continue to use if you decide to participate in the PADI OWSI course.
